Clinical Focus

Cadence Almasi, MC, RCC, CCC, has specialized her training and clinical work in helping clients negotiate and manage the troubling symptoms affecting life after an experience of trauma. A deeply integrative approach to trauma therapy can be applied to various forms of traumatic experiences, which might be any event that has temporarily overwhelmed the nervous system and has led to long-lasting negative symptomatology, such as experiences of abuse (physical, sexual, verbal, financial, psychological, etc.), an assault, all forms of interpersonal violence, and developmental and relational trauma. Cadence’s work addresses specific concerns such as hyperarousal (anxiety, fight/flight) responses, hypoarousal (dissociative or depressive) processes, attachment difficulties, personality and interpersonal issues, mood disorders, and the overall pattern of fragmentation that results from a traumatic event. Her approach applies to many presenting concerns, even when they are unique to you and your life circumstances.

At Crescent Therapy, we primarily focus on individual therapy with adults (anyone from early adulthood to elders). At this practice, we honor and welcome diversity, and work with folks of all cultural locations and personal identities. This practice is 2SLGBTQ+ allied. Crescent Therapy provides both short- and long-term clinical counselling. This work can be brief and focused on a specific essential change if necessary, or expansive and process-oriented for deeper therapeutic and personal healing.
